PURPOSE: To enable the aged or handicapped to move easily in a segmented chamber, such as a bathroom even when their walking ability is so degraded that they may find it difficult to walk along a handrail. CONSTITUTION: The floor surface of a dressing room 2 which is adjoined with the floor surface of a washing space 11 of a bathroom 1 is formed so that it may be almost flush with each other without any offset by way of a frame 3 installed to their connected parts. A door 4 is installed to the frame 3, thereby segmenting the bathroom 1 and the dressing room 2. A handrail is mounted on a wall 13 of the bathroom 1 over the upper part of the washing space 11 and a bathtub 12 by way of a support member 51 which is substantially L- shaped. A movable chair 6 in every direction is laid out in the handrail so that the upper part of the chair may be guided by the handrail. |
