FIELD: machine engineering, namely, production of hollow shafts with variable cross section and small ratio of recess thickness to their length values. SUBSTANCE: method of making elongated different-thickness shafts with high alignment degree and small ratio of thickness of necking portion wall to its length (less than 0.015) comprises the following steps: after quenching, in oil with temperature of 800-80 C hollow shaft with ratio of thickness of necking portion wall to its length equal, for example, to 0.0017 is treated with allowance for necking portion equal to 0.4-0.5 of wall thickness; then, it is heated with rate of 10-15 C/min up to tempering temperature in furnace at vertical position. At temperature 300+50 C shaft is soaked over 6 hours, subjected to air cooling and removed allowance over three passes. EFFECT: enhanced alignment degree of hollow shafts with small ratio of thickness of necking portion walls to their length. |
