The moulded plastics dog dropping scoop comprises a cylinder (1) with a threaded plug (2). At its base are two slightly curved inverted V-shaped branches (4) which are flattened at their ends. A hood (5) in the form of a coffee filter and two fingerstalls (6) threaded on the branches protect the scooper against stains from contact with the droppings. The cylinder and its plug contain ingredients such as plaster cement or sawdust for hardening the droppings.
