PURPOSE: To obtain a CD-R compatible with CD-ROM. CONSTITUTION: The disk is produced by successively forming a first metal film having a high reflectance, optical interference film 2, second metal film 3 having a low melting point, and protective film 7 on a transparent plastic substrate 4. Information is recorded by irradiating the medium through the substrate 4 to diffuse the second metal film 3 in the optical interference film 2 to produce a compd. The obtd. CD-R has a high reflectance by the reflecting effect of the first metal film 1 and optical characteristics compatible with a CD-ROM. |
