<p>PURPOSE: To enable a user to set the time of the clock in a VTR by using the present time information successively sent in broadcasting signals even while this VTR is under standby for reserving picture recording by providing a channel selection means with functions to select channels by every prescribed time during the standby for reserving picture recording. CONSTITUTION: A microprocessor 5 checks the program identification codes in the VPS in the broadcasting signals of the channels assigned by the reservation data or the VPS/teletext data transmitted from a teletext decoder 4 during the standby for reserving picture recording. The microprocessor executes picture recording if the codes coincide with the reserved data. The microprocessor selects the channels which transmits the present time information in addition to the reserved channels and sets the time of the clock by using the present time information included in the teletext in the broadcasting signals when the command for setting the time of the clock is issued. Further, the selection of the channel transmitting the time information is not executed in spite of the issuing of the command for time setting and only the check of the channels assigned by the reservation data is executed when the number of the reserved programs is above a prescribed number.</p> |
