PURPOSE: To arouse a driver's attention by a speed control while preventing large unnatural feeling being imparted when speed is too high for the curve into which a vehicle is going to advance, regarding the front road status corresponded controller of the vehicle which is suitable to be used for urging the driver to decelerate the speed when the vehicle advances into the curve, using the speed control. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a judging means 30 judging the compatibility of the running state of a vehicle for the front road status of the vehicle from preliminarily stored road information and an incompatibility time control means 40 performing the speed control of the vehicle when it is judged that the running state of the vehicle is incompatible to the front road status of the vehicle by the judging means 30. The incompatibility time control means 40 is composed so that the speed control may be performed by using either one of the slot opening control adjusting the engine output of the vehicle and the shift control of the automatic transmission of the vehicle.
