PURPOSE: To simplify user's operation to change password by inputting a new password before logging in and automatically changing host-side password and terminal-side password by the use of the new password. CONSTITUTION: When a new password is inputted by operating an input device 14, the new password is stored in a new password storage part 182. Then, a host computer 2 is automatically logged in by using the password before the change. Then, a host-side password change part 133 is actuated to read the new password out of the new password storage part 182 and the new password is sent to the host computer 2 from a communication device 16 to automatically change the password on the side of the host computer into the new password. Then, the new password is read out of the new password storage part 182 under the control of a terminal-side password change part 132. This is transferred to a current password storage part 181 and stored as a current password, so that the password on the side of the terminal 1 is changed into the new password. |
