PURPOSE: To obtain a solar cell producing high output voltage while enhancing the photoelectric conversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A negative pole 14 is disposed on the surface side of a p-type substrate 10 through an n + diffusion layer 12 and a p + diffusion layer 20 is interposed between the p-type substrate 10 and the n + diffusion layer 12. PN junction of the solar cell is formed between the n + diffusion layer 12 and the p + diffusion layer 20 and the diffusion voltage can be increased even if the p-type substrate 10 is lightly doped. Consequently, output voltage of the solar cell can be increased. When the p-type substrate 10 is lightly doped, the lifetime of carrier can be prolonged thereat and thereby the photoelectric conversion efficiency can be enhanced. |
