PURPOSE: To improve the timbre effect of an electronic musical instrument having a keyboard. CONSTITUTION: The respective keys arranged in plural pieces on this electronic musical instrument are provided with a key event detecting means 6 for detecting key touch/key release conditions, a simultaneously key touch detecting means 7 which detects whether simultaneous key touch of adjacent two keys is executed or not, an intermediate pitch high frequency forming means 8 for forming the intermediate sound producing frequency of the respective tones corresponding to the simultaneously touched two keys, a timbre changing means 9 for changing the timbre in a period after the simultaneous touch of the two keys is detected before either of these keys is released and the key touch state of the single tone is attained, a key event detecting means 6 and a musical tone forming means 10 for forming the musical tones for performing playing by wind instruments according to respective pieces of the information outputted from the intermediate pitch high frequency forming means 8 and the timbre changing means 9. The formation of the musical tones of the pitch corresponding to the intermediate frequency of the adjacent two keys by the simple operation and the production thereof are made possible. |
