<p>PURPOSE: To make it possible to impart an accent in design and interest to a music rest by subjecting the front and rear surfaces of a flat planar part to black coating with an opaque coating material and subjecting the butt end made of natural wood stuck to the butt end thereof to coating with a transpar ent coating material. CONSTITUTION: This music rest 1 is used as a black coated upright piano and is composed of the flat planar part 2, the butt end part 3 adhered to the butt end surface of the flat planar part 2 and a music rest part 4 projecting forward from the bottom end of the flat planar part 2. While the front and rear surfaces of the flat planar part 2 of the music rest 1 are subjected to black coating with the opaque coating material and are thereby coated solid black, the butt end part 3 made of the solid of the natural wood adhered to its butt end surface is coated with the transparent coating material 6 so that the grain patterns of the natural wood appear on the butt end surface. Then, the accent in design and interest are added by such contrast to the music rest and the design characteristic is improved.</p> |
