PURPOSE: To provide an excellent base for a resin coated paper type image forming material which is remarkably ameliorated in the occurrence of unequal peeling at the time of production, enhances the apparent bright feel of the image forming material, is improved in the film adhesion of image forming layers, has good formability and ensures stable production. CONSTITUTION: The base paper surface of this base for image forming material on the side to be provided with the image forming layers is coated with the resin layers consisting of a resin compsn. consisting essentially of the following polyethylene(PE) resin: The m.p. (unit; deg.C) and density (unit; g/cm<3> ) of the PE resin in the resin compsn, consisting of 50 to 95wt.% PE resin produced by using a metallocene catalyst and 50 to 5wt.% of PE resin having the long-chain branches produced by a high pressure method are expressed by the equation: m.p. >=901 × density -720 and equation: m.p. <=901 × density -711 and the Mw/Mn thereof is >=4. |
