WATERPROOF SOCKET AND LUMINAIRE

PURPOSE: To provide a waterproof structure by using a general-purpose socket min body 41. CONSTITUTION: A socket main body 41 has a lamp connection hole 49 for connecting a lamp 20 to its one end and has a lead wire connecting part 45 in which a lead wire 44 is connected on the other end side. A first waterproof cover 51 is fitted into the one end of the socket main body 41 and a second waterproof cover 52 is fitted into the other end of the socket main body 41. The first waterproof cover 51 has a side fitting part 54 in close contact with the circumference of the one end side of the socket main body 41 and a lamp insertion hole 55 through which the lamp 20 can be inserted and which is brought into close contact with the circumferential surface of the lamp. The second waterproof cover 52 has a side fitting part 58 brought into close contact with the circumference of the other end side of the socket main body 41 and has a lead wire insertion hole 59 through which the lead wire 44 can be inserted and which is brought into close contact with the circumference of the lead wire 44.
