PURPOSE: To realize high-efficiency control with high power factor for a synchronous motor while a converter capacity is reduced without torque pulsation. CONSTITUTION: A current target value (ik *) for an armature of k in ordinal number corresponding to windings 21 to 2n in a synchronous motor is calculated in a formula; ik =K.ek '/(e1 e1 '+e2 e2 '...+en en ') by using an operating processor 4 on the basis of each-phase induction voltages e1 to en and functions e1 ' to en ' with fundamental waves shifted by a phase of ϕ from these induction voltages e1 to en . An actual armature current value detected through a current transformer is adjusted to be equal to the current target value under control of current adjusting units 51 to 5n. Then, the capacity of a converter is made small with no fear of torque pulsation, and high-efficiency control is carried out with high power factor. |
