The unit, esp. for blood passing through a haemodialysis machine, consists of a container (15) and a sterilising system (16,17,18,20) using heat provided by a resistance (16) preferably located in the lower part of the container. In a variant the sterilising heat can be created by an air current passing through the container, while a temperature detector (21) is used to monitor the degree of sterilisation. In other variants the sterilisation can be produced by a disinfectant fluid or radiation. |
