PURPOSE:To improve the sharpness of the photographic sensitive material by specifying the center line average height on the surface of a supporting body to be coated with a hydrophilic colloidal layer, and the thickness of the hydrophilic colloidal layer. CONSTITUTION:The hydrophilic colloidal layer contg. a substance having absorbing property in a wavelength region having photosensitive property is provided between a photographic emulsion layer and the supporting body. The center line average height (Ra) on the surface of the supporting body to be coated with the hydrophilic colloidal layer thereon, is 0.3-1.5mum, and the thickness of the hydrophilic colloidal layer is larger than 0.5 times of the center line average height (Ra) on the surface of the supporting body. The substance having the absorbing property in the wavelength region having the photosensitive property, is incorporated in the hydrophilic colloidal layer provided between the photographic emulsion layer and the supporting body, and is exemplified by a dyestuff, a pigment or a colloidal silver, etc. Thus, the sharpness of the material is improved in the photosensitive material which is subjected to a mat finishing on the surface of the supporting body. |
