PURPOSE: To provide the studless pneumatic tire for heavy load, which is excellent in running performance over an icebound road and one-sided abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: In the pneumatic tire equipped with a tread 1 including a center land section 3C partitioned at least by four main grooves 2 in the circumferential direction in a cylindrical tread section, paired shoulder land section 33 coming close to both ends of the tread, and each intermedaite land section 3M located in between the aforesaid two land sections, the center of the tread 1 and the intermediate land section 3M are formed into the lines of blocks 5 which are divided by a number of lug grooves crossing the aforesaid tread and land sections. Meanwhile, the provision of a number of broad lug grooves 8 which are extended to the halfway of the land section toward the inner side in the axial direction from the end of the tread section at specified intervals in the circumferential direction, allows the shoulder land sections 38 to be formed into ribs which are substantially connected in a row in a comb shape, and a plurality of lateral sipings are provided for the ribs and the blocks. |
