PURPOSE: To stably produce the subject ester at the objective esterification ratio under the suppression of the distilling of an aliphatic acid to the outside from the reaction system. CONSTITUTION: A polyglycerol aliphatic acid ester is produced by esterifying a 8-22C aliphatic acid with glycerin. This reaction is carried out with a reactor having a packed column linked to the top, whose number of theoretical plates is 3-20, wherein the produced water is purged through the top of the packed column under the suppression of the loss of the aliphatic acid.
