PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly entertaining seal generator by which printing in various character expressions can be attained without leaving them to the administrator. SOLUTION: The seal generator is provided with a camera 11 that supplies image data, an image data storage memory 22 that stores background illustrations prepared in advance and data such as characters relating to the background illustrations, a control means (CPU) 18 that synthesizes the image data from the camera 11 with the image data from the image data storage memory 22, and a print section 24 that prints out the synthesized images on a split seal. Character data corresponding to the selected background illustration are printed out at the outside of a column of the split seal.
