摘要 PURPOSE: To enhance the bonding strength of an amorphous carbon material to a metallic or ceramic material by previously roughening the surface of the carbon material to be joined, interposing a brazing filler metal and carrying out heating when the carbon material is joined to the metallic or ceramic material. CONSTITUTION: An amorphous carbon material is joined to a metallic or ceramic material by a process (1) for roughening the surface of the carbon material and a process (2) for interposing a brazing filler metal between the roughened surface of the carbon material and the metallic or ceramic material and brazing them by heating. The blowing of an abrasive material or mechanical grinding with an abrasive material may be utilized as the surface roughening method. A silver brazing filler metal such as Ag-Cu-Ti, Ag-Sn-Ti or Ag-Cu-In-Ti or a titanium brazing filler metal such as Ti-Zr-Cu-Ni or Ti-Zr-Cu is preferably used as the brazing filler metal.
