By installing hot water radiators in each apartment of high rise residential buildings which are electrically heated, and tying them into the building's domestic hot water system so that they become a secondary heat source, heating energy costs can be reduced significantly by replacing a major portion of electric heat with gas heated domestic hot water heat.
