The lighting device has the optic fibre (2) with one or both ends facing a light source (1). The light can be injected at one end only, at both ends, or injected at one end with the other end of the optic fibre acting as a mirror. The optic fibre can be straight, or folded so both ends (3,6) are adjacent to each other, and face a light source. The optic fibre is treated over part of its length to allow some light to escape laterally. The treated part is placed below a translucent panel (8,9) that carries markings that are to be illuminated. |
