The invention relates to a control rod (1) for monitoring the reactivity of a reactor core of a nuclear power station, directed along a main axis (2) and having at least one component (3), consisting of a cast alloy, especially one based on steel or nickel-chromium, with a proportion of a neutron-absorbing material. The part of the control rod (1) which absorbs neutrons can be produced by casting as a single component (3) or made up of plate-like cast components (3a). It is thus possible to make a geometrically simpler and dimensionally stable control rod (1) containing the neutron-absorbing material in a suitable amount and in a spatially evenly distributed form. The invention also relates to the use of the control rod (1) in a boiling water reactor and a process for producing a control rod (1) directed along a main axis (2). |
