The filter drum has edges which taper from the mantle surface towards the drum axis, pref. as conical edges. Circular ring segments (6), structured to fit the edges, are screwed to the end wall (3) of the filter drum. The segments (6) have a cross section with a strap (7) at the side towards the drum end wall (3), in the working state, at a gap to the drum dia. A ring groove (8) in the drum end wall (3), structured to give a fit for the strap (7), holds the strap (7). The groove (8) dimensions are significantly wider than the strap (7).
