<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matter detector which controls the X-ray exposure dose from an X-ray generation part and which keeps the safety of the human body from an exposure to X-rays by detecting the entering of the human body into a carrying path. SOLUTION: In the X-ray foreign matter detector 1, whether or not an object passes monitoring regions in a carrying-in port Rin or/and a carrying-out port Rout is detected by light projecting and receiving elements 4. When the object is detected, whether the object is the human body or an object W to be detected is judged on the basis of the level of a detection signal. When it is judged as the human body, the X-ray exposure dose is controlled by a control means so as to be less than a prescribed amount.</p> |
