Measuring speed of running non-conductor e.g. running textile yarn

A process is for measuring the speed of a running non-conductor, a running textile yarn or thread in partic., and involves generation of changes in the electric charges. The process involves a simultaneous application of at least two defined electric charges at a defined distance from each other. The charges are registered at a point located downstream in the direction of the non-conductor movement. The associated installation has a receive (13,2) positioned by the non-conductor (9) to register the charges.
