A method for producing vine rootstock cuttings from vine cuttings implanted in small containers supplied with nutrient solutions delivered by a local irrigation system. According to the method, the growing period is artificially extended to increase production and soilless production is used to prevent viral or bacterial reinfection through the soil. Furthermore, the starting cuttings or seedlings are refrigerated and forced in glass greenhouses or heated shelters, and growth is continued in the open air under conditions that enable the plant to develop fully and maximise its growing potential.
|
