Ophthalmological appts. for microsurgical intervention and irrigation

The ophthalmological appts. (1) houses withdrawable functional units (3,4) for optical fibre illumination of the interior of the eye, together with irrigation and aspiration units (10,12) and an intraocular pressure regulator (14). A recess (24) in a withdrawable supporting element (20) accepts an insert (30) provided with two supporting units (35,45) for respective tubes and with a catch (40). Spaced intermediate walls within the recess carry a pump unit with its drive, and a locking mechanism which detects insertion of the catch and pulls-in the two units.
