PURPOSE: To provide an air bag device having a switch being excellent in operating feeling. CONSTITUTION: A folded up air bag is covered with a cover body 34 being elastically deformable. A cover body 34 is provided with a brittle tear line 44 breaking down during the expansion of the air-bag and a pair of a front and a rear door piece part 48, 48 which develop at the time of breakdown of the tear line 44 to compose the protruding port of the air-bag. Film-shaped switches 32, 33 are attached along the back side of each of door piece parts 48, 48 of the cover body 34. A switch part 57 to close at the time of deformation is provided in the film-shaped switches 32, 33. The switch part 57 of the film- shaped switch 33 on a rear side is arranged across the central break line 46 of the tear line 44 so that its switch part 57 may be piled up on the switch part 57 of the film-shaped switch 32 on a front side. Thus even in the case where a part of the central break line 46 of the cover body 34 is pushingly moved, the switch part 57 can be easily closed for improving the operating feeling of the switch. |
