PURPOSE: To provide an oil seal device which is capable of being mounted in a single operation without using a holding plate or a bolt, and does not come off even when being exposed to high pressure. CONSTITUTION: The outer circumference of an oil seal 10A is inserted into a cylindrical surface 11A formed in a housing 11. An annular groove 15 of triangular section is formed in the cylindrical surface 11A, and an annular projection 14B of the oil seal 10A is fallen into the annular groove 15. The annular projection 14B is lined and reinforced by a reinforcing structure 12A where an annular inner ring 12 of L-shaped section is inflated in the bellows shape. The layer of a packing 14 to be held by the reinforcing structure 12A and the annular groove 15 generates the compressive stress to resist the pressure to be exerted from the right side of the oil seal 10A. |
