PURPOSE: To enhance the uniformity of developed color density and repeated color developing/erasing resistance. CONSTITUTION: In a reversible thermal recording medium, an intermediate layer having fine hollow parts is provided between a recording layer and a support. The fine hollow parts of the intermediate layer improve heat insulating properties to accumulate the quantity of heat applied to the recording layer in the recording layer without letting the same escape and the elasticity of the fine hollow parts relieves the load caused by the pressure applied to the reversible thermal recording medium.
