<p>PURPOSE: To provide a post-treating device which is connected with an image forming device and performs binding together of sheets of paper, which can be set selectively into the margin binding mode and the middle binding mode, and allows its aligning device for margin binding to retreat at the time of middle binding. CONSTITUTION: A post-treating device to be connected with an image forming device has a tray 10 under a transport path and a staple device 20, and the first sheet aligning device comprising a stopper 41 and paddle 81 is installed in mating with the margin binding while the second sheet aligning device 12 is installed in its downstream. To make middle binding of the sheets, the stopper 41 and paddle 81 are retreated from the sheet transport path, and the leading edge of sheet is pressed to the stopper 13 to make location, and the binding operation is made by the staple device.</p> |
