PURPOSE: To provide a developing machine capable of instantaneously choosing development or nondevelopment at a low load. CONSTITUTION: In this image forming device provided with a magnet roll 3 in a developing sleeve 4, the developing sleeve 4 having a partial difference in the distance between the axial center of the magnet roll 3 and the surface of the developing sleeve 4 is used and a driving means for rotating or moving the sleeve 4 is provided, to change the distance between a photoreceptor 6 and the surface of the sleeve 4. Therefore, the surface of the developer carrier (developing sleeve) 4 carrying the developer is moved to attain the contact and uncontact of the developer with an image carrier. Thus, the developing machine capable of instantaneously choosing the development or the nondevelopment at the low load can be provided. |
