<p>PURPOSE: To prevent such a case where a controlled object is controlled after a wrong control parameter is set by fixing the characteristic of the controlled object by a step response method and deciding whether the dead time and the largest inclination are correctly identified. CONSTITUTION: An identification means 5 of a controller 1 successively calculates the dead time Ln and the inclination Rn corresponding to the change of the controlled variable in the prescribed sampling synchronization and identifies the dead time L and the largest inclination R based on the change of controlled variable detected by a step response method after a step manipulated variable of 100% is outputted from a step manipulated variable output means 3. An identification result decision means 9 decides whether the time L and the inclination R are correctly identified by the means 5. The correct identification is decided when the product (L * R) of the time L and the inclination R identified by the means 5 is included in a prescribed range (L * Rmin to L * Rmax ). Then no correct identification is decided if the product (L * R) is excluded out of the preceding range.</p> |
