PURPOSE: To prevent the protrusion of a weather strip and improve appearance by forming a V-groove on a seal end section free from contact with a door sash, and thickening a major seal section, regarding a weather strip fitted to the outer periphery of a door sash. CONSTITUTION: Regarding a vehicular weather strip fitted to the outer periphery of a door sash 3 and kept in contact with the internal side thereof at all times at an exterior position faced to the internal side, a V-groove is formed on the end of a seal section free from contact with the sash 3, and a main seal section 1a is thickened. In this case, the thickness of the section 1a is kept approximately 1.3 to 2.0 times as large as the thickness of the seal section, and the length of the thickened portion 1b of the section 1a is set at a value between 60% and 90% of the length thereof. According to this construction, a thin and approximately V-groove 1d on the end of the seal adheres to the weather strip, thereby absorbing the slackening of the strip and preventing the protrusion thereof. |
