FIELD: radiation flaw detection of materials and can be use at X-ray-television quality control of welded joints and cast-in parts,, especially with a great difference of material thickness. SUBSTANCE: the product under control is exposed to X-radiation, X-ray image is accumulated on the X-ray vidicon target and X-ray radiation is transduced into an electric video signal forming an image in the form of a frame on the picture tube screen. Several TV frames are formed at a different time of information accumulation on the X-ray vidicon target, after which a synthesis of image of the product section under control is performed. The optimum time of information accumulation is determined by formula. After preliminary processing of each frame and their subsequent composition a synthesized image of the product is obtained.
