The mop has fringes or strips and is attached to a flat holder fixed to a long handle. The squeezer (10) can be detachably attached to the rim of the opening in a liquid-collector container. The squeezer consists of an annular support (11) with a middle opening (22) enclosed by a funnel-shaped inner wall (11a). Underneath the opening is a compression cage (34) with two shafts (36,38) into which the flat mop holder is inserted. The two shafts lie diametrically opposite each other outside the ribs (44) of the cage, and each extends vertically down to a bottom part of their bases (35,37). The bottom part protrudes upwards from the perforated base (50) of the cage.
