A machine for continuously making cellular packagings from a web material such as paper placed on at least one freely rotatable roller (2, 3) at the machine input end. Each web is fed through a transverse creasing station (C) then between two rollers (14, 34) of which at least one is driven by a drive means for continuously feeding the web and moulding cells. The peripheral surface of one of the rollers (14) has positive moulds (15) for the cells while the other (34) has negative moulds (35) so that fitting them together enables feeding of the web. Finally, the web is fed through an output station (E) with a cutting system connected to a drive means for cutting the resulting cellular packaging web at regular intervals. Each of the two drive rollers (14, 34) having the positive (15) and negative (35) moulds is placed in a readily accessible module (M1, M2) that can be dismantled from outside the machine and includes two lateral end plates (18, 19) linked together by a shaft (38, 39) supporting a heating means (36, 37) and a mechanically separate moulding roller (14, 34) therearound, said heating means being inserted into a central bore in the moulding roller, and said roller remaining freely rotatable and being readily extractable once one of the end plates has been removed.
