The invention concerns a grinding or polishing wheel comprising a turntable (10), on which a grinding or polishing cloth can be placed, and a shaft (20) which can be clamped in a drive chuck, in particular of a hand drill or handywork machine. The turntable (10), which is connected to the shaft (20) by means of an end flange (22), can be secured to a screw thread (21) of the shaft (20) by means of a cover (30) which is domed such that it forms a check nut. The domed cover (30) comprises an edge (32) which rests against the turntable (10). The turntable (10) comprises a hood-like attachment (12) with a central component (15) which is connected to the shaft (20), is disposed above the edge (11) of the turntable (10) and is connected thereto in a hinged manner. |
