PURPOSE: To more surely produce an electrophotographic toner excellent in cleanability with a cleaning blade because of its deformed shape by a suspension polymn. method. CONSTITUTION: When a monomer phase cont.g. a polymerizable monomer is suspended and dispersed in the form of droplets in an org. dispersive medium and toner particles are produced by suspension polymn., the droplets of the monomer phase are deformed by adding slightly water-soluble inorg. particles whose average particle diameter on volume basis is 60-300% of the average particle diameter of the droplets. The inorg. particles are chemically removed after toner particles are produced.
