PURPOSE: To eliminate a problem due to a delay of copying and to impart a stable tread pressure, in a belt sander of performing lift control of a pressing member by a lift motor. CONSTITUTION: In a lift control device of a tread pressure device, a tread pressure cylinder 29 is fixed to a lift lever 28 lift controlled by feed operating a screw of a screw lever 27 turned by a lift motor 24, and a cylinder rod 29a of this tread pressure cylinder is connected to a pressing member 21, so as to set the tread pressure cylinder 29 to a rod extended position at least when a workpiece arrives. Accordingly, by only the lift motor 24, even when a quick response can not be attained by copying a surface shape of the workpiece, since the tread pressure cylinder 29 is provided, delay operating the lift lever 28 is absorbed, to enable the pressing member 21 to pressure tread a workpiece surface at an almost fixed pressure. |
