PURPOSE: To enhance speed change control accuracy of a continuously variable transmission by adding a balancing position offset quantity of a speed change control valve when a speed change command is determined. CONSTITUTION: A controller 17 finds the target speed change ratio from car speed VSP and throttle opening TVO, and drives a motor 23 by a command SSM to attain this target speed change ratio, and operates a valve 21 through a link 22. The valve 21 is displaced from a balancing position where a circuit 26 is cut off from both a circuit 25 and a drain port 21b, and changes speed change control pressure PS, and causes speed change. Progress of the speed change is fed back to the link 22 through a shifter 24, and the valve 21 is returned to the balancing position. When it is returned, the speed change is finished, and the target speed change ratio is attained. When the command SSM is determined, the controller 17 corrects the command SSM so that a balancing position offset quantity of the valve 21 does not influence the speed change. |
