An assembly for detachably coupling an implement having connecting means to an operating arm of a machine generally consisting of a first coupling component having means for detachably securing the first coupling means to the connecting means of the implement and means defining an undercut, annular gripping surface; and a second coupling component having means for securing the second coupling component to the operating arm of the machine, displaceable means provided with contact surfaces engageable with the annular contact surfaces of the first coupling component in gripping relation therewith, and means for displacing the displaceable means whereby the contact surfaces of the second coupling component may be displaced into and out of gripping relation with the annular contact surface of the first coupling component.
