Tensioning device for shaft and hub connections

The device connects a shaft (1) to a hub (2), and has a side clamping hub (3) with an inner threaded sleeve (4), which has one or more axial slits in order to enable it to grip the shaft. The clamping hub can have a screw (7) to tension it radially around an unthreaded end section of the sleeve, or can be a nut with an internal conical thread which engages with a corresponding external conical thread on the sleeve. The tensioned sleeve can be screwed into a hub with a corresponding thread (11), and can be secured against rotation with a threaded pin (10). The sleeve may also have an internal end stop in order to ensure an exact positioning on the end of the shaft.
