<p>A pretensioner including a holder (14) and a flexible inflatable tube (16) attached to said holder (14). The tube (16) is rolled up while deflated, and provided with an ultra-rapid inflation device (22). The pretensioner includes a cable (24) with a first end (28) connected to an attachment point (30) on the belt (4). When the tube (16) is inflated, the cable (24) moves in a belt pulling direction in which the belt (4) is tightened. The cable (24) and the holder define a closed expandable housing (32) around the deflated tube (16) in a plane orthogonal to the axis (26) about which the tube is rolled up. Inflating the tube causes the housing (32) to expand and the cable (24) to move in said direction.</p> |
