<p>An axial flux electric machine adapted for use as an electric propulsor for vehicles and as an electric power generator, characterized in that it substantially comprises the following components: a laminate construction stator core (14); a stator winding (15) consisting of a plurality of individual coils (15A, 15B, ...) each including a number of turns of an insulated conductor, wound around said stator core (14); a pair of rotor discs (10A, 10B) made of steel with good magnetic properties, connected together and axially spaced apart from one another so as to house said stator core (14) with its related winding (15) therewithin; a plurality of permanent magnets (13) arranged in such a manner as to form poles of any desired shape, such permanent magnets (13) being glued onto the inner surfaces of said rotor discs (10A, 10B), in facing positions with respect to said stator winding (15), said magnets being arranged with their homonymous poles facing to each other and being magnetized in axial direction.</p> |
