A method for manufacturing a high-performance carbon block filter is provided to improve the purification performance of the carbon block filter, by mixing main sources including powder type activated carbon, PE(polyethylene) binder, and fiber type activated carbon and sub-sources for showing various purification performances, and performing a press operation on the mixed sources, when manufacturing the carbon block filter. Main sources and sub-sources are uniformly mixed, wherein the main sources include powder type activated carbon, PE binder, and fiber type activated carbon and the sub-sources for showing various purification performances. A carbon block filter is formed by filling a metal mold(3), into which an inner core(4) is inserted, with the mixed sources, and pressing a guide ring(7) of a press so as to make the guide ring press the mixed sources. The metal mold where the carbon block filter is formed is thermally treated in a heat furnace. The thermally treated metal mold and the inner core are separated from each other, thereby drawing out the carbon block filter from the metal mold. The drawn carbon block filter is cut.
