<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a water-resistant resin-coated base body for a photographic printing paper having excellent cutting property and anti-curling property, good uniformity of the resin thickness in the width direction during production, and excellent productivity by forming two water-resistant resin layers on the back surface where no emulsion is to be applied in such a manner that the layer adjacent to the base body is made thinner than the layer in the distant side from the base body. CONSTITUTION: This photographic base body is produced by forming water-resistant resin layers on both surfaces of a base body. The water-resistant resin layer on the back surface where no emulsion is to be applied consists of two layers. The layer adjacent to the base body of the two layers contains high density polyethylene having >=8 MFR by >=90wt.% of the resin and the layer adjacent to the base body is made thinner than the layer in the distant side from the base body. Thereby, in the obtd. base body for a photographic printing paper, the neck-in phenomenon which is often caused during a laminating process on the back surface in a conventional method can be decreased so that thickness of the resin layer in the width direction is made uniform during production. By using a large amt. of high density polyethylene, good anti-curling property is good.</p> |
