<p>PURPOSE: To observe the behavior right after the resetting of a microprocessor including a circuit for providing part of a debugging function from a debugging tool by being supported by the circuit. CONSTITUTION: When a signal DBGE* showing that the debugging tool is connected to the microprocessor is active (at low level), a processor core 20 is initialized even when a user reset signal is supplied, but the reset signal does not reach a debugging module 30. Consequently, the debugging module 30 maintains its function even right after user resetting, so abnormal operation of a target system, etc., in the above state can be acquired by the debugging tool.</p> |
