PURPOSE: To obtain a method for producing an electrolytic capacitor in which reflow soldering can be applied to the electrolytic capacitor through the use of a resin case and highly reliable sealing is realized by preventing leakage of electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: A capacitor body 1 comprising anode and cathode fixed with lead terminals 2 and impregnated with electrolyte is encased in a thermosetting resin case split into two 3A, 3B along a surface for clamping the lead terminal 2. The split cases 3A, 3B are then subjected to ultrasonic oscillation while clamping the lead terminal 2 at a part of the abutting faces thereof thus fusing and sealing the case. |
