PURPOSE: To modulate pulses from a laser diode at high speed by a laser-diode drive circuit. CONSTITUTION: A constant-current circuit 31 is connected in parallel across an anode and a cathode for a laser diode LD, the constant-current circuit 31 is driven by a differential switching circuit, and the laser diode LD is driven. Thereby, it is possible to realize a laser-diode drive circuit 30 in which the pulses from the laser diode LD can be modulated at high speed. |
